Brush-footed Trapdoors – Barychelidae
Brush-footed trapdoor spiders are stocky burrowing spiders that have tufts of specialised hairs on their feet that enable them to climb well, even on smooth surfaces. Most species are dark brown to black, however the males of some species are covered in silvery hairs and known as ‘silverbacks’.
